Anthropic Academy: Free Claude Courses and Certificates

anthropic academy free claude courses across three learning tracks

Anthropic Academy now has 22 free, self-paced courses, up from 13 when it launched in March 2026. They cover everything from no-code AI Fluency to Claude Code, the Claude API, MCP, subagents, and cloud deployment on Bedrock and Google Cloud. Every course is free, needs only an email to sign up, and issues a certificate when you finish.

The catalog has grown fast this year, so older lists (including an earlier version of this one) are missing about ten courses. Below is the full current list, grouped by who it is for, and where to start.

What Is Anthropic Academy (and Claude Academy)?

Anthropic Academy is Anthropic’s own training platform, hosted on Skilljar at anthropic.skilljar.com. Each course is a set of structured lessons with hands-on exercises and a graded quiz at the end.

You will also see the name Claude Academy. That is what Anthropic now calls its learning hub at anthropic.com/learn, which groups courses with tutorials and use cases by product: Claude.ai, Cowork, Claude Code, Claude Tag and the Claude Platform. The courses are the same; the hub is just the new front door.

Which Course Should You Take First?

  • You write code and use Claude Code: Claude Code 101, then Claude Code in Action. Add Introduction to Subagents and Introduction to Agent Skills once you are comfortable.
  • You are building an app on the API: Claude Platform 101, then Building with the Claude API. Take Introduction to MCP if you want Claude to call your own tools.
  • You are not a developer: Claude 101, then AI Fluency: Framework & Foundations. Pick the audience-specific AI Fluency course that fits you after that.
  • You are rolling Claude out at work: Deploying Claude Enterprise with Confidence, plus Claude with Amazon Bedrock or Claude on Google Cloud if your company buys through a cloud provider.

Courses are not sequenced, so you can skip straight to the one you need. If you want background on the concepts first, our guides on how MCP works and Claude Agent Skills pair well with the matching courses.

Anthropic Academy vs the Coursera AI Fluency Courses

Separately, Anthropic launched five AI Fluency courses on Coursera on May 28, 2026, co-taught with Professors Rick Dakan and Joseph Feller, who developed the AI Fluency framework. They are free Community Impact courses aimed at the same non-technical audience.

The Coursera set covers Framework and Foundations, Educators, Teaching AI Fluency, Students and Nonprofits, which all also exist on the Academy. If you prefer Coursera’s interface, the content overlaps enough that either works. The developer, cloud and newer AI Fluency courses are only on the Academy.
